You've probably seen all the activity surrounding our opposition to HB1060, the bill now introduced in the Colorado legislature that would give dietitians a monopoly on nutrition services and censorship over nutrition information. What is interesting is how many Registered Dietitians agree with us that the bill is a terrible overreach by their trade association, the American Dietetic Association.
So, we would like to take a moment to reassure our friends, customers, coworkers and Nutritional Health Coaches who are, in fact, Registered Dieticians that they are OK with us. Our beef is with their political folks in Washington, DC, who think their power grab and the underhanded wording of...
A document published by the American Dietetic Association’s House of Delegates, “Market Place Relevance: Regulatory and Competitive Environment of Dietetic Services,” reveals the true motives behind the ADA’s legislative agenda.
Our two week campaign, ending after Thanksgiving 2011, generated over 37,000 petition signatures and thousands of signed letters opposing the New Dietary Ingredient Notification (NDIN) guidelines issued by the FDA. Make no mistake, Mrs. DeGette is working hard behind the scenes to ensure her bosses, Reps. Waxman and Dingle, continue to undermine your DSHEA protections.
Yes, she needs these two men to support her rise in the ranks of House leadership, and she needs Big Pharma lobbying money to feed her reelection campaigns. A...
