to be greeted, and if you are a regular customer you can expect to be
greeted by name (if you want!)

Expect to be offered help by every staff member, whether you look
like you need it or not. (If this bugs you, let us know.)

Expect the staff to be attentive, trained, and responsive. If they
can't help you fully, they will find someone who can.

Expect to wait only moments to check out. We have 3-4 check stands
in each store, and we will open them as needed as soon as more than
two customers are in any line. If you are in a hurry and the person
in front has a big basket, just ask for a check stand to be opened for
you.

Expect a good selection of quality products to be on the shelves
all the time, especially if it's on sale. However, if you need something
we don't stock we will order it for you immediately at no added cost.

Expect to finish your shopping even after hours. We don't hurry you
out the door, or lock you outside at the top of the hour. Please come
in and stay as long as you need.

Expect free personalized nutrition help from qualified staff. But
also expect them to recommend exercise and fresh produce as a starting
point.

Expect only safe, approved, professional advice. We do not sell fads
or miracle cures, or use stories and anecdotes to sell a product. We
will help you understand how the body works, and how the ingredients
in certain foods are known to affect the body.

Expect to make your own well-informed choices about the foods you
eat and supplements you use. Consider it the height of confidence that
we believe you have the ability and the right to make your own choices
about caring for your health.

Expect free objective and science-based information resources including
hand-outs, online resources, and expert lectures.

Expect to find a broad selection of products that support special
diets. We don't think a restricted diet should mean restricted choices.

Expect to be the first priority. No matter what else we are doing
-- stocking, cleaning, putting up signs -- you come first. All of our
staff is trained and directed to help customers first, then continue
to attend to their other daily tasks. (But if we get preoccupied, please
give us a nudge.)

Expect a no-hassle return. We sell a lot of products, and we know
they don't always work out. Just follow procedures and we'll take care
of it.

Expect clean accessible restrooms. And if you see something out of
place, we'll fix it immediately.

Expect us to respond to your concerns. As much as we strive to be,
we are not always perfect. If we fall short of your expectations and
