I backpacked around SE Asia for three months armed with ONLY this as my shampoo/body wash/face wash/shaving cream and, in a pinch, laundry detergent... It is truly THE soap that can be used for everything, from head to toe. Excellent as a body wash, excellent as a face wash, outstanding as a shaving cream, and pretty decent as a shampoo (although I do have straight, fine hair and you may find that you need something more 'conditioning' depending on your hair type/texture). Lathers nicely, even in areas with rather hard water, and leaves my skin feeling clean (but not tight) and residue-free. Best of all, no adverse reactions and no nasty chemicals sitting on my hair or skin. And, as a nice bonus, this can be carried onto airplanes in whatever quantity you desire, since it is a solid bar... no need to worry about "3 ounces or less" and/or fitting a ton of toiletries into a small ziploc. You definitely *will* need a portable soap dish, preferably one that doesn't leak easily (or that you keep in a ziploc in the event that a not-fully-dry bar leaks out of your soap dish and onto the contents of your luggage).
