I love,love these pads. The cover is made from organic cotton. The rest of the pads are also made from natural things like cellouse and corn starch. They are really great if you are senstive to commerical products. They are also great for the enviroment.

That sums it up! Before I went vegan, I used a variety of "normal" products, and I thought they were soft enough. When I switched to this, I learned what real softness is! The mainstream brands were rough and scratchy in comparison. That was a very pleasant surprise bonus for me, because my primary reason for trying this brand was to cause less suffering to other beings. I didn't want to support companies that conducted cruel, unnecessary, wasteful experiments on lab animals, nor pollution and destruction of wildlife habitat. While I wouldn't mind giving up something like a bit of softness for animals' sake, I actually gained a lot more softness. It's also very thin and absorbent, as I would expect from popular brand ultra pads. Some years ago, I started switching from disposable to Glad Rags, and bought a cheap case of Seventh Generation that I found online for backup (7th Gen pads are Natracare copycats hehe), so it's unlikely I'll buy more Natracare disposables in the future, but I will always remember this brand with fondness in my heart :)

Natracare is the first vegan brand of menstrual products I tried, many years ago, before Seventh Generation came out with its line, and when I hadn't yet started using Glad Rags due to my cultural conditioning of "being female is shameful, hide the evidence in the landfill, reusable pads are gross." I tried several of Natracare's products, and liked the Ultra pads for normal use because of how nice and thin they are. These Overnight pads are also absorbent, also very soft, and of course they are larger than the Ultras. If you want a disposable overnight pad that works wonderfully, a pad that is very soft, a product you can feel safe putting against sensitive body parts without fear of chlorine or other toxic chemicals, and a company to support that never uses animal ingredients and never tests on animals, this product should be a good fit.

I mostly use cloth menstrual pads but sometimes cloth won't work for me and these are when I turn to. I am very allergic to the pads with chemicals and found I do not react badly to these. It's good to have some on hand for the just in case times.
