What are the Requirements?

Q: What is the minimum age requirement to work for Natural Grocers?

A: All employees must be at least 18 years of age.

Q: Does Natural Grocers hire part-time store employees?

A: Decisions to hire part-time are made by the individual store managers. We do not hire part-time for the first 90 days in a new store.

Q: Do I have to be an expert on nutrition to be employed by Natural Grocers?

A: No. Natural Grocers hires people at all knowledge levels and then provides resources to increase nutrition education.

Q: Do I have to have a college degree?

A: Natural Grocers employs people with a variety of educational backgrounds. We consider relevant experience and the total candidate skills and offer many positions that do not require post-secondary education. Please see the individual job requirements for more information.

How do I apply?

Q: How do I find out what jobs are currently available?

A: A list of open positions can be found by going to www.naturalgrocers.com/jobs and then clicking on “Job Openings”. There you can search by position, location and keyword or simply browse all jobs.

Q: I found an exciting available position. What do I do next?

A: Complete an application online. Click on the position title to review the job description. At the bottom right of the page, click “Apply Online”. If you are a first time user you will need to create an account. Please note: our applicant system uses a different login than the rest of our website so you will need to create an applicant account even if you have a Natural Grocers account.

Q: Can I apply for multiple locations/positions?

A: Absolutely! You may select as many positions and locations as you like when completing an application. You can also add positions to your current application at any time by logging back into your account.

Q: I forgot my username and/or password. Do I have to start from scratch?

A: No. Your username is the email address you used to sign up for the account. Click on “Can’t remember your password” and you will be prompted to enter your email address or answer your security question.

Q: I still have not received my email to reset my password. Help!

A: Please be sure to check your spam or junk folder. If you cannot find the email then please contact us at recruiting@naturalgrocers.com.

Q: How do I make changes to my application?

A: You can log into your application at any time and update or edit your application.

Q: When can I expect to hear from someone?

A: You will receive an email confirmation when your application is complete and we have received it. We review all applications and qualified candidates can expect to hear back within 1-6 weeks.

Q: I am having technical difficulties with my application. What do I do?
