Joanie Mankus

Joanie holds a B.S. in Food Science and Nutrition and a Masters in Clinical Social Work. She worked as a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) for seven years prior to moving abroad with her family.  Due to concerns over a child with digestive issues, Joanie thoroughly researched alternatives to traditional over-the-counter medications and discovered the incredible benefits of 100% organic, fresh-milled whole grains. She believes in the synergetic benefits of balanced, whole-food nutrition and the importance of organic whole grains. These unprocessed grains include essential oils (removed during conventional processing) and a higher fiber content than is found in commercial baked goods. She avoids artificial, processed and filler ingredients. Her company, Oven Baked Organics, resulted from her search for delicious, nutritious, whole foods baking mixes.  Joanie bakes for a number of special dietary needs including soy-free, nut-free, dairy-free, gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian. The recipes and substitutions she has developed allow everyone in your family to enjoy delicious baked goods and great health.
