My journey to Vegan has been a long one.  As a Texan, I grew up on fried pork chops and gravy.  My diet improved when I had children because I wanted them to eat healthy.  But it was when I opened Rolling Hills Bakery Cafe in Silverton, Oregon in 2005 that I took a critical look at food. I was influenced by friends who were already Vegan or Vegetarian, so I decided to create a vegetarian option for pork sausage, and SortaSausage was born. I believe that it can be easy to Explore Vegan options without giving up the food you love.  If you only add one Vegan meal a week to your family's diet, you have already impacted the environment in a significant way.
