Charles developed a passion for fitness and nutrition while living in California serving the United States Navy.  While serving, he earned multiple fitness certifications and worked a second job as a personal trainer.  Upon his discharge, Charles attended Nevada State College where his major focus was the registered nursing program.  During that time, he earned additional health credentials and worked as a nutritionist managing a vitamin store while going to school. Charles is a Montana native and enjoys the outdoors, visiting Mount Charleston and Red Rock Canyon with his dog, Star, in his free time.
