  • 1/2 cup(s) coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup(s) shea butter
  • 10 vitamin E capsules, opened
  • 1 tbsp(s) apricot oil
  • 15 drops rosehip seed oil
  • 20 drops carrot seed oil
  • 20 drops lavender essential oil (optional)
  • 3 4-ounce containers

  1. Melt coconut oil and shea butter over double boiler until liquid. Stir to combine well.
  2. Transfer the mixture to the bowl of mixer and place in the refrigerator until the mixture is solid, about 1 ½ hours.
  3. Using a whisk attachment on a mixer, start whipping solid solution until it becomes white and whip cream consistency.
  4. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.
  5. Transfer the lotion to clean containers, filling each one equally about ¾ of the way full, and cap tightly.
  6. To use, apply lightly to face and liberally to hands to moisturize and protect skin as needed.
