Another way to cook turkey is to slow cook it which is one of our favorites because it keeps the turkey moist, tender, and delicious.

Pre-heat the oven to 250 degrees.
Make sure turkey is completely thawed.
Remove giblets and neck and reserve to make stock.
Rinse entire turkey with cold water.
Coat the entire turkey, inside and out, with olive oil.
Sprinkle entire turkey with salt and garlic powder.
Place in turkey baking dish and place in pre-heated oven.
Baste and check frequently with a digital meat thermometer.
Cook until internal temperature of turkey is 165-170 degrees.
