Spicy Roasted Chickpeas

Start your holiday celebration off on the right foot with this easy recipe for crunchy and savory roasted chickpeas.  You and your guests will want to stay within reach of this tasty snack!

1 15-ounce can chickpeas AKA garbanzo beans, drained
4 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon granulated garlic
2 teaspoons chili powder
1⁄2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1⁄2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  1. Preheat oven to 350º F.
  2. Blot chickpeas with a paper towel to dry them. In a bowl, toss the chickpeas with olive oil, spices, and salt.
  3. Spread the seasoned chickpeas on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes. Remove from the oven, toss to ensure even cooking, and place back in the oven for another 15-20 minutes, until lightly browned. Watch carefully the last few minutes to prevent burning.
