Household Cleaning Product Standards

While cleaning can be a chore, what you clean with shouldn’t require cleaning up the environment, cleansing your home, or a full-body detox after use as well.

Maintaining your family’s environmentally friendly lifestyle shouldn’t mean compromising effectiveness or ease of use. We have you covered with all kinds of effective and easy-to-use everyday household cleaning products that are aligned with the goal of having minimal impact on our pristine wild places. We seek products that are ethically sourced, sustainably produced, and innovatively effective when we choose what we put on our shelves.

We were born in the great outdoor state of Colorado, which makes camping, hiking, and mountain-meadow picnics part of our heritage and some of our favorite pastimes. And we carry a full range of ecologically thoughtful cleaning products because we know it’s not an epic camping trip if it doesn’t bring a little extra dirt home afterward.

We won’t allow over 100 problematic ingredients—ones that would actually be in or are used in household cleaning products—in the household cleaning products we offer.

We WON’T allow—the most obvious and problematic:

  • Synthetic fragrances
  • Ethanolamines
  • Parabens
  • Phthalates
  • Phosphates
  • Quaternary ammonium compounds
  • Synthetic colors, including optical brighteners

We require:

We believe you have the right to full disclosure, so you can make the most informed choices about the products you use. It’s why we require all our household products to provide a full ingredient list (except for proprietary fragrances, and enzyme blends) even though there are no federal regulations mandating it. However, while these proprietary blends do not have to be fully disclosed on the label, we have confirmed that they meet our ingredient standards.

We prioritize:

  • Ingredients that are less problematic to the health of this planet and all that inhabit it
  • Sustainable packaging made of recycled or plant-derived and biodegradable materials
  • Products that are ethically sourced, sustainably produced, and innovatively effective
