This flavorful pesto makes a great addition to your holiday repertoire. Serve it with crackers alongside cured meat, cheese, olives, roasted red peppers, and your favorite veggie dippers for an easy, elegant appetizer tray. It is also delicious with goat cheese, as a topper for bruschetta, stirred into your favorite pasta or gnocchi, spread on a sandwich, or used to top baked fish, chicken, or tofu. Make it several days ahead and store in the refrigerator in an air-tight container.
This fresh take on pesto powers up the nutritive value with kale, ground mustard seed, and walnuts. The addition of mustard seed increases the formation of the phytonutrient sulforaphane, a powerful free-radical scavenger, in the kale, while the walnuts add a great source of cardio-supportive omega-3 fats. It's delicious and deeply nutritious! Serve it on fish, chicken, or pasta.
This quick and easy crunchy celery salad makes a perfect addition to summer cookouts and picnics. For a satisfying combination of spicy, cool, and crunchy, pair it with our Firecracker Cauliflower Recipe or with our Spicy Dry Rub Easy Party Wings. The salad stays crunchy in the refrigerator for a few days, so make it ahead of time and have it ready to go for your next summertime gathering!
It’s an understatement to say that our co-founder, Margaret Isely, loved the holidays. I mean she really loved the holidays and all the prepping, cooking, and feasting with friends and family. She was known for all her homemade specialties—lots of delicious veggie dishes (we hope we’ve done her proud), homemade wine, homemade applesauce and, most notably, her homemade cranberry sauce. This simple, yet signature, recipe was something the Isely family looked forward to holiday after Thanksgiving holiday. It was the perfect accompaniment to the holiday meal and it was simply, Margaret.
