Hooves down we have the highest (and healthiest) quality organic milk, cheese, butter, kefir, yogurt, ice cream, and other dairy products you can find because they come from animals that are raised on pasture. We are proud to support farmers and ranchers that practice pasture-based dairy management, just as nature intended. Don’t do dairy? We have a wide selection of delicious, dairy-free and vegan alternatives, such as seed and nut-based milks, cheeses, yogurts and ice cream to satisfy any "dairy" craving.
Our Dairy Standard's tagline might as well be, "Let Them Graze.” All organic dairy animals must graze on pasture a minimum of 120 days, but many of the dairies organic dairy products that we carry exceed this grazing standard. One of our suppliers grazes their animals 7 months out of the year and provides their animals with a diet that is predominately foraging (75 to 80 percent), including fresh grasses, silage, and hay. The rest of the diet is made up of non-GMO grains, such as rye, triticale, flax meal and wheat. All feed must be Certified Organic, may not come from GMO sources and must not contain animal by-products. No bovine growth hormone or antibiotics are allowed. Additionally, provisions within the USDA National Organic Program (NOP) also ensure that the animals are treated humanely and ethically.
