Store Returns and Refunds

Refunds will be happily given on the purchase price of a product provided you have your original cash register receipt, valid ID, and:

  • The return is within 90 days from the date of purchase for supplements, body care and  protein powders.
  • The return is within 30 days from date of purchase on books and food items.
  • The return is within 30 days from date of purchase on juicers and appliances, provided the juicer/appliance has not been used and is in its original package, all parts are intact, clean, and has the original warranty card inside.
  • There are no refunds on used juicers or appliances.
  • Juicer/appliance returns must be approved by the store manager.
  • CHECK REFUNDS: All refunds on check purchases over $20 will be paid by store credit or company check. (Company checks will take at least 30 days to issue.)
  • No receipt – No refund

We Do Not:

  • Take back bulk items in manufacturers 25-50 lb. packages.
  • Take back special order products that we do not normally stock in our stores.
  • Take back products that have expired, if they have expired while in your possession.
  • Give cash, check or credit card refunds without an original cash register receipt.
  • Take back any opened American Biologics, Detox Tea, Profibe, Ultimate Meal or Lewis Labs, May Way, or Pill Bags brand products.
  • Take back clearance items, all sales final for clearance items.

We require state-issued photo identification for returns. If you choose not to provide us with an ID, we will not accept the return. We reserve the right to NOT give refunds, even if original receipt is presented.

Refunds on Purchases Made with Checks

Refunds on check purchases, if within 30 days of original purchase, will be paid by a company check and will take 30 days to process. If over 30 days from original purchase and under $50.00, cash refunds may be given with valid ID.

Handling Returns

If you have a return, please check in with the cashier before shopping. Make sure you have your receipt and valid ID. If you do not check in with the cashier first. Natural Grocers may be unable to complete your transaction.

Refunds in the Form of Store Credit

In some cases, your refund will be made in the form of store credit, which will be placed on a Natural Grocers gift card.  There is no charge to receive this card, or to use the value stored on this card. For more information, see our Gift Card page.
