Amelia comes from a teaching background, with a Bachelor of Science in Education from Drake University and six years of teaching experience. She left the teaching field to study nutrition earning a Master's Degree in Functional Medicine and Human Nutrition.  She is passionate about utilizing the latest research to help her community find simple dietary improvements to better their health and overall well-being. With a background in education and a specialty in Functional Medicine, Amelia will help to educate you about science-based ways to support your body's structure and function. When she is not at Natural Grocers, you can find her studying, hiking, or kayaking.
