The world we live in is downright stressful. It’s stressful just thinking about how stressful things have become. While stress is a part of life, when it runs unchecked and unabated, it can wreak havoc on our lives, interfering with everyday tasks, our relationships, and our jobs. It can also damage the delicate structures of our brains and lead to anxiety and depression.

The last five months have been... HARD. For most of us, living through a pandemic is a first, and as with all “firsts,” we’re trying to figure out how to navigate this new world, and it’s been a challenge. But what if we shifted our perspective to one of gratitude, and looked to the pandemic as a teacher? It’s taught us how to be helpful neighbors. It’s taught us the importance of community.

Data published in May on 212 patients hospitalized with COVID-19 revealed that the severity of infection was correlated to the patient’s vitamin D levels.
