Letter From the Isely's - September

The health of soil, plant, animal and man is one and indivisible.

How is your charming self? We’re happy to see you because even though you still feel like summer, you also bring us fall—that delightful season wrapped in shades of crimson and gold and served with a side of apple pie! Okay, we know it really gets rolling in October and November, but you open the door, September, and we thank you for that. Also, speaking of gold—you know what our family especially loves about you? You’re the month we celebrate the gold-standard for healthy food—certified organic.

In truth, organic isn’t something we honor one month out of the year around here—it’s an everyday thing for us and has been throughout our history. We’ve always carried 100% organic produce, and we’ve been Certified Organic Food Handlers for over a decade now, which means we ensure the integrity of organic fruits and veggies from farm to table. We curate and prioritize certified organic selections throughout our store, and especially in the products we add to our expanding house-brand. Our storewide standards mirror organic certification requirements. We don’t allow artificial colors, flavors, sweeteners, or preservatives in anything we sell. Our bulk is 100% non-GMO, our dairy is 100% pasture based, our eggs are free range or pasture based, and our meat and seafood selections are humanely raised and sustainably sourced—rooted in the strictest standards for animal welfare and sustainability.

So why do the principles of organic matter so much to us? Because organic is rooted in the health and the undeniable connection between the wellbeing of people and this planet. So, sweet September, as your whimsical breezes rustle the leaves and whisper at the windows, let our neighbors know that we want to chat—about food, the future, and how organic is for everyone!
