Parks for a Sustainable Future

Roosevelt Park - Longmont, CO

Roosevelt Park Panorama

Currently, Beyond Pesticides and Natural Grocers are transitioning Roosevelt Park and its Memorial Rose Garden in Longmont, CO by eliminating synthetic pesticides and fertilizers and converting exclusively to organic practices. Established in 1892, in the center of this thriving small town an hour north of Denver, Roosevelt Park is the community’s pride and joy. It was named after the visiting President in 1910 and the Memorial Rose Garden was planted just after World War II. This project of converting to organic fertilizers and pesticide-free practices is a prime example of Beyond Pesticides’ mission in action. Additional park projects in communities where Natural Grocers operates will be announced.
