For many years I lived by a large city park where every spring, just as predictable as the dandelions popping up on the lawn, signs would appear warning park-goers of recent herbicide application.
Throughout the pandemic, we’ve heard a lot about “long COVID” or “long-haul COVID;” some of you may have experienced it or may still be struggling with the lingering effects of the virus. While doctors and scientists are figuring out the ins-and-outs specific to long COVID, chronic debilitating symptoms after a viral infection are surprisingly common.

The latest research continues to highlight the importance of vitamin D levels and risk of COVID-19 infection and disease severity. In a study published in August 2021, researchers in India looked at vitamin D status and symptom severity in 156 COVID-19 positive individuals.
