Grilled Desserts: Cookies on the Grill

20 cookie slices
1 (16-ounce) box Natural Grocers Brand Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix
1 (4-ounce) stick unsalted butter or Natural Grocers Brand Organic Plant Based Buttery Stick, softened
1 Natural Grocers Brand Organic Pasture-Raised Eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  Optional: chopped chocolate pieces; your favorite ice cream and/or Organic Miso Caramel Sauce
  1. Preheat grill with lid down to 350° F and thoroughly clean the grill grates.
  2. Prepare one package of Natural Grocers Brand Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix according to package directions.
  3. Bake cookies on a parchment-lined baking sheet directly on the grill with the lid closed for 11-13 minutes, or until just starting to brown a little. Alternatively press the cookie dough evenly into a cast iron skillet, leaving about half an inch of space between the dough and the edges of the pan so the cookie has room to expand. Bake with the lid down for 15 minutes, or until cookie is just starting to brown a little around the edges. Keep an eye on the grill while the cookies bake and adjust heat as necessary to maintain the temperature at 350° F. Just before removing cookies from the grill, optionally add chopped chocolate pieces to the tops of the cookies. Allow the cookie to cool for 10 minutes before cutting and serving. For an extra rich delicious treat, serve with ice cream and Organic Miso Caramel Sauce.
