Given all that we’ve been through the past couple of years, the upcoming holiday season with loved ones feels extra special and so very needed. And we certainly don’t want to miss out because seasonal sickness or the winter blues have got us down!
“You are what you eat.” Some variation of this phrase has been around since the 1800s1 and we’ve all heard it countless times, but there’s a reason for its longevity: it’s true!
They each made it with a twist: one with pineapple, the other added vanilla, and sometimes a dash of bourbon. Cranberry sauce, grandma’s special recipe—it was a tradition to be enjoyed once or twice a year, with the whole family gathered around the table.
May you wake us up gently, not in a rush of panic, tumbling into the kitchen already behind schedule. We want to open sleepy eyelids to the smell of freshly brewed coffee or perhaps a steaming cup of tea.

We’ve all experienced it—a sudden sharp pain that jolts us awake at night, stops us in our tracks when we’re exercising, or seems to just come out of the blue as we go about our business. Call it what you will—a spasm, cramp, charley horse. They all hurt, and they are all essentially the same thing—a strong, sudden and involuntary muscle contraction that causes severe pain.
