Grilled Curry Boar Burger

Add some international flair to your grilling experience with these tender and flavorful burgers!

2 tablespoons organic coconut aminos
1 tablespoon organic jarred ginger or a 1x1-inch piece of fresh organic ginger, finely grated
1 organic garlic clove, minced or pressed
1 teaspoon Natural Grocers Brand Bulk Organic Curry Powder Blend
1⁄2 teaspoon Natural Grocers Brand Bulk Organic Turmeric
1 teaspoon Natural Grocers Brand Bulk Real Salt
1 pound Durham Ranch Ground Wild Boar, thawed, but well chilled
  Natural Grocers Brand Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, for greasing grill
4 hamburger buns or 4 large organic lettuce leaves
4 thick slices organic tomato
Optional burger toppings
  mayonnaise
  fried egg

  organic onion
  organic lettuce
  organic pickles
  1. Preheat grill.
  2. Combine coconut aminos, ginger, garlic, curry, turmeric, and salt in a medium bowl. Add the ground boar and gently mix together with hands, making sure to not overwork the meat. Form into four equal-sized patties, about ½-inch thick.
  3. Reduce the heat on the grill to medium. Lightly grease grill rack with coconut oil and gently place the burgers on the rack. Grill on first side for 4-6 minutes. Carefully flip the burgers and cook on the second side for 4-5 minutes, or until they are cooked through.
  4. Toast the buns (or serve the burger patties on the lettuce leaves) and add toppings of your choice.
